On a sunny Monday morning in April 2021, the Rossmar Special School in Limavady opened its doors after a high anticipated rebuild (15 years in the making!), much to the delight of its teaching staff and students.
The school was completely rebuilt from the ground up and now provides impressive state-of-the-art educational facilities for children with disabilities and special needs. The school accommodates nursery, primary, post-primary and post-16 age groups and has a superb range of offerings for these particular and important needs.
At Niavac, we were thrilled to play even a small role in the completion of this exciting £9 million project which saw the construction of a 5,500 square metre site including sensory rooms, outdoor recreational areas, and a new car park.
Our team was tasked with installing Interactive Touchscreens and Digital Signage across the school site. At Niavac, we are the distribution partner of Clevertouch Technology and after an initial viewing of the site we believed their Impact Plus range lends itself particularly well to special needs education. With 4K resolution, fluid writing technology and enhanced interactivity, we were confident these screens would be an ideal fit for Rossmar School. We installed 29 Clevertouch Impact Plus touchscreens on electric height adjustable wall lifts in all classrooms, with a further 7 Clevertouch digital signage screens throughout the school.
Niavac has been a trusted supplier for many schools and educational facilities over the years and are the no.1 supplier of Interactive Touchscreens in the Education sector in Northern Ireland. We are always more than happy to assist in providing AV solutions when it comes to furthering education.
Well done to everyone involved and we wish the best of luck to Rossmar School on their new adventure!
